What if the plants you don’t have on the bench are costing you more sales than the ones you do?

This season, Monrovia partnered with Swytchback to take a hard look at how today’s shoppers make plant purchase decisions—specifically how inventory mix, size assortment, and perceived availability influence whether shoppers buy, buy more, or walk away.

We’re inviting you to a live, insight-packed webinar where we’ll share what we learned—and what it means for your inventory strategy in 2026 and beyond.

What you’ll learn:

  •  How inventory depth and diversity of selection can influence purchase
  • Do multiple plant sizes increase confidence and basket size?
  • What consumers interpret as “scarcity” vs. “lack of selection”
  • How top retailers can use data—not guesswork—to fine-tune assortments and turns
  • Insights from retail studies in other industries, and how to apply them to your garden center

Joining us as a special guest is Cole Patterson, Co-Founder and Head of Product at Swytchback and an Industry Fellow at Santa Clara University’s Retail Management Institute, who helped lead the research behind this study. Cole brings deep expertise in consumer behavior, analytics, human-centered design, and retail innovation—and works closely with leading retailers to translate insight into action.

Bring your questions for the live Q/A.
