Hi Friend,
Though it still feels like summer here in my September garden, I am dreaming of what I want to plant when temperatures finally cool. Little Joker® Ninebark and Siren's Song™ Dark Night Heuchera top my list—purple foliage always adds depth and contrast.
If you're like me, gardening is about happy anticipation: Right now I'm looking forward to the scent of my Sensation Lilac, watching Henry's Red Rhododendron bloom, and harvesting that first Toscana Strawberry of the season.
Fall is also a great time to jump start your garden for spring because plant roots thrive when the soil is warm but the air is cool. Read more on why fall planting has many rewards. While shopping for next year's garden, don't forget to treat yourself—and the pollinators—to some colorful plants to enjoy now. Here are some of our favorites.
